About MICATZ: MICA is a non-profit organization which is located in Arusha, Tanzania and managed by volunteers from all over the world. MICA specializes in providing volunteer work programs in developing countries in Africa and Asia! MICA organizes international programs for students, groups, individuals, and virtually anyone interested in going abroad and making a difference.
MICA offers a wide range of affordable and unique projects such as teaching English abroad, working at orphanages, healthcare and medical internships overseas, community development projects, women assistance programs, as well as conservation volunteer work abroad programs.
The safari begins and ends at Arusha, located in northern Tanzania. If the trip overlaps with your volunteer work, special accommodations will be made so you won’t have to miss out.
Highlights: You will be exploring Tanzania’s vast and beautiful landscapes for five days, visiting such areas as Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro National Park, and Lake Manyara, where you may glimpse many unique indigenous species of plants and animals such as elephants, hippos, flamingos, and giant fig trees, to name a few. You will also pay a visit to a Maasai village along the way. Volunteers are transported around the country in a land cruiser, and the camp site includes beds and access to toilets and showers.
